Terms of Service
Terms for Using ReverseThatLookup
Effective Date – July 16, 2026
The short version
ReverseThatLookup helps you research phone numbers, emails, and other identifiers using data retrieved in real time from third-party providers. Use it for your own personal, lawful purposes only — never for FCRA-regulated decisions like employment or tenant screening, never to harass or track anyone, and never with bots or scrapers. Results are leads to verify, not guaranteed facts. If you continue to one of our partners for a full report, their terms apply and we may earn a commission. The legally binding details are below.

1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ReverseThatLookup.com, including our website, lookup tools, content, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by ReverseThatLookup (“ReverseThatLookup,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service in any manner, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use ReverseThatLookup.com.
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- you are at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority where you live, if higher);
- you are using the Service for your own purposes and not for the benefit of any third party, and not for the purpose of generating, testing, or manufacturing legal claims against ReverseThatLookup or its data providers;
- any information you submit to us — through a contact form, support request, or otherwise — is true, accurate, and complete; and
- you have full power and authority to enter into this agreement, and if you use the Service on behalf of another person or entity, you accept these Terms on their behalf as well.
You agree that clicking, tapping, or continuing to use the Service constitutes your electronic acceptance of these Terms, and that electronic notices, agreements, and disclosures we provide satisfy any legal requirement that a communication be in writing.
2. What ReverseThatLookup Is
The content, lookup tools, and information available through ReverseThatLookup are provided for general informational and personal-use purposes only. When you run a lookup, the Service queries independent third-party data providers in real time and displays the results to you. We are not the source of the underlying records, and we do not host, own, or control the databases the results are drawn from.
Lookup results may be incomplete, outdated, duplicated, inaccurate, or associated with a previous owner, user, or account holder of the identifier you searched. You are responsible for independently verifying information before relying on it. Treat results as leads to verify — not as guaranteed identity confirmations.
Information available through the Service may change without notice, and we may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
3. No Consumer Reports — FCRA Restrictions
ReverseThatLookup is not a consumer reporting agency, and the Service does not provide “consumer reports” as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. (“FCRA”).
You may not use the Service, or any information obtained from it, in whole or in part, as a factor in determining any person’s eligibility for:
- employment, promotion, reassignment, or retention (including household workers such as babysitters, nannies, cleaning personnel, and contractors);
- credit, loans, or assessing risk on existing credit obligations;
- insurance of any kind;
- housing, tenancy, or other accommodations;
- education, scholarships, or fellowships;
- licenses or benefits granted by a government agency; or
- any other purpose covered by the FCRA or any similar state statute.
You also agree not to use any information obtained through the Service to take any “adverse action” as that term is defined in the FCRA. For more detail, review our FCRA page.
4. License and Permitted Use
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not:
- resell, redistribute, republish, broker, or otherwise make lookup results or Service content available to any third party, whether or not for compensation;
- use the Service or its results to compile a database or dataset of any kind, or for commercial data processing, marketing, lead generation, or collections purposes; or
- use the Service or its results to build, train, augment, or verify any competing product or service.
We reserve all rights not expressly granted in these Terms. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership or intellectual property interest in the Service to you.
5. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Service, or any information obtained from it, to:
- harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, dox, defame, discriminate against, or otherwise harm any person, or commit identity theft, fraud, or attempt unauthorized access to any account;
- search for, locate, or gather information about anyone under 18 years of age;
- make telephone calls, or send text messages or emails, in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the CAN-SPAM Act, or any other applicable law — including telemarketing, robocalls, or bulk messaging of any kind. Phone numbers displayed by the Service are not scrubbed against the National Do Not Call Registry or any other do-not-call list; compliance is solely your responsibility;
- engage in any activity regulated by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act (DPPA), the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), or any similar federal or state law;
- violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or any connected network, breach or circumvent any security or authentication measure, or interfere with the proper working of the Service;
- impersonate any person, forge headers, or otherwise disguise your identity or the origin of any transmission to the Service; or
- take any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure.
You also agree not to use lookup results as the sole basis for confronting, accusing, excluding, or making decisions about another person.
Actual or attempted unauthorized use of the Service may result in civil and/or criminal liability, including under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. We reserve the right to monitor and record activity on the Service for security and abuse-prevention purposes and to cooperate with law enforcement, including in response to lawful requests and court orders.
6. Automated Access, Scraping, and Data Reuse
The Service is provided for individual human use through a standard web browser. Except as expressly permitted below, you may not:
- access the Service using any robot, spider, scraper, crawler, headless browser, script, or other automated means;
- harvest, extract, copy, mirror, frame, or monitor any portion of the Service or its content;
- submit automated queries to any lookup tool, form, or API endpoint of the Service; or
- circumvent or attempt to circumvent any rate limit, CAPTCHA, bot-detection measure, or other access control.
Permitted crawling. Good-faith, standards-compliant crawlers operated by public search engines and AI assistants may access and index the publicly available content pages of the site solely for the purposes of search indexing, summarization, and citation with attribution and a link back to the site — provided the crawler identifies itself accurately, honors our robots.txt directives, does not access or submit queries to the lookup tools, and does not reproduce substantially complete copies of site content. We may revoke this permission for any crawler at any time via robots.txt or technical controls.
Enforcement. You agree that a breach of this Section would cause irreparable harm to ReverseThatLookup for which money damages would be an inadequate remedy, and that we are entitled to seek injunctive relief in addition to any other available remedy, without the requirement of posting a bond. We may block, rate-limit, or deny access to any user, IP address, or network at our sole discretion, without notice.
7. Third-Party Data, Partner Referrals, and Compensation
Lookup results are retrieved in real time from independent third-party data providers. We do not create, own, host, or control the underlying records, and we cannot modify what a data provider returns. How we handle the information involved in your searches is described in our Privacy Policy.
Full reports and expanded search products are offered and fulfilled by independent third-party partners, not by ReverseThatLookup. If you choose to continue to a partner, your relationship is with that partner: their terms of service and privacy policy govern your purchase and use of their products, and we are not a party to — and are not responsible for — that transaction, the partner’s data, or the partner’s conduct.
Referral compensation disclosure: ReverseThatLookup may receive a commission or other compensation when you follow a referral link to a partner or purchase a partner’s product. This compensation does not change the price you pay.
8. Third-Party Links
The Service may include links to third-party websites or services. These links are provided for convenience and do not mean that ReverseThatLookup endorses or controls those websites. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices, and you agree that we shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your dealings with any third party you reach through the Service.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service contains material owned by or licensed to ReverseThatLookup, including its design, layout, appearance, graphics, text, code, and other content. Reproduction, redistribution, or other unauthorized use is prohibited unless allowed by law or approved by us in writing.
All trademarks reproduced on the site that are not owned by or licensed to ReverseThatLookup are acknowledged where applicable, and their use is intended only to identify the trademark owner and its goods or services.
If you believe your intellectual property rights have been infringed by content on the Service, contact us at support@reversethatlookup.com with a description of the allegedly infringing material, its location on the site, your contact information, and a statement of your good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized.
10. Feedback
We welcome suggestions and feedback about the Service. By sending us feedback, you agree that we may use it to operate and improve the Service without restriction, attribution, or compensation to you, and you represent that your feedback does not infringe the rights of any third party. Please do not send us ideas you wish to keep confidential or be paid for.
11. Linking to the Site
You may not create a link to this site from another website or document in a way that suggests false endorsement, misrepresents our services, or violates applicable law. We reserve the right to request removal of links that are misleading, harmful, or unauthorized.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
Neither ReverseThatLookup nor any third party provides any warranty or guarantee as to the accuracy, timeliness, completeness, performance, or suitability of information, materials, or lookup results available through the Service. The Service may contain errors, omissions, outdated data, or temporary interruptions.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND ALL INFORMATION, CONTENT, AND MATERIALS AVAILABLE THROUGH IT ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. REVERSETHATLOOKUP AND ITS DATA PROVIDERS, REFERRAL PARTNERS, LICENSORS, AND SUPPLIERS (COLLECTIVELY, THE “RELEASED PARTIES”) EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
THE RELEASED PARTIES DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; THAT RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT; THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS; OR THAT ANY ERRORS WILL BE CORRECTED. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU; IN THAT CASE, THEY APPLY TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Your use of any information, content, or tools available through the Service is at your own risk. It is your responsibility to determine whether any information, product, service, or result meets your needs and complies with applicable law.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Released Parties shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages — including damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, or data — arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the Service, reliance on lookup results, unauthorized access to your transmissions, or your dealings with any third party reached through the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
The Released Parties are likewise not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond their reasonable control, including failures of equipment or communication lines, third-party data provider outages, computer viruses, unauthorized access, severe weather, natural disasters, labor disputes, wars, or governmental actions.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of the Released Parties for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to ReverseThatLookup in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred dollars ($100.00).
No claim arising from or related to the Service may be brought more than one (1) year after the event giving rise to it, or the claim is permanently barred, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability; in those jurisdictions, liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ReverseThatLookup and the other Released Parties, together with their respective owners, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents, from and against all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from: (a) your use or misuse of the Service or any information obtained from it; (b) your violation of these Terms or of any applicable law; or (c) use by any third party of information they received from or through you. Each Released Party may enforce this provision directly. We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to your indemnification, in which case you agree to cooperate in asserting available defenses.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and your use of the Service are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
Talk to us first. Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us at support@reversethatlookup.com with a written description of the dispute and give us thirty (30) days to attempt to resolve it informally. Most concerns can be resolved this way.
Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of and venue in those courts. Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court instead.
16. Suspension and Termination of Access
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason — including any violation or suspected violation of these Terms, abusive or automated usage patterns, or conduct that poses a risk to the Service, other users, our data providers, or the public. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 3, 5, 6, and 12 through 17 — will survive.
17. General Terms
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the policies they incorporate by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and ReverseThatLookup regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements on that subject.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable or invalid, it will be modified to accomplish its objectives to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later, and a waiver of one breach is not a waiver of any other breach.
Assignment. We may assign these Terms, in whole or in part, at any time — including to a successor entity such as a limited liability company — without notice to you. You may not assign these Terms or any rights under them, and any attempted assignment by you is void.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When updates are made, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, stop using the Service.
19. Contact Us
If you have questions about these Terms, contact us at support@reversethatlookup.com or through our Contact Us page.
